Taikyoku Shodan

What is needed to know in order to get a yellow belt in Shotokan Karate?
I have been training in shotokan for almost two months and my sensei said I am ready to test for a yellow. I know to do taikyoku Shodan, Heian Shodan, and Heian Nidan. And know all the basic stances like kiba dachi, zenkutsu dachi, and kokutsu dachi. And all the basic moves like oi zuki, empi uchi, gedan barai, age uke, tattsui, and the first five different kicks.
I haven’t been training that long so just wondering if that is adequate.
this varies greatly from one dojo/sensei /organization to the next
at the very least it would be taikyoku shodan, and all your kihan waza there may be some ippons of Kumite.
it is best you ask the your sensei to get his exact requirements.
if he says your ready then he taught you every thing you need to know for this, he should have prepared you with every thing you need before telling you, that you we’re ready.
most instructors wont test a student unless they are sure they we’re taught everything they need
Taikyoku Shodan
